Make stormy days into a date remember

date rememberAre you under the weather? Oh I didn’t mean if you’re not feeling well, what I mean was if there’s a storm coming up. Yes, because storms are rather perfect times to have the perfect date with your perfect girlfriend!

Don’t let the howling winds and washing rain put a damper on your relationship. Even if it is the stormy season, you could still do activities that would make them memorable to you both.

So here are some fun date ideas to do when it starts raining cats and dogs;

Head for the couch with your girl and cuddle. Trust me, if you have problems cuddling, a storm would be perfect to help you practice. Don’t think it’s a girl thing because it shouldn’t be. Just get a warm blanket and some pillows and cuddle together as you watch the windows dripping. Or you could do it in the porch to make it more romantic. You’ll soon find out that she will never forget that!

You could also try staying in to watch a home movie! Yes, just buy more chips that you can handle and throw in some sodas and you’ll be good to go. Watch comedy films for your date and laugh yourselves silly. Or you could choose to scare yourselves with horror flicks. It doesn’t matter. The rain will make each other’s company special and you’ll be able to enjoy every minute of it.

date rememberIf you want to be more spontaneous, then surprise her by asking her to dance…in the rain! It may sound childish but I guess that’s what the rain brings out in all of us. So don’t deny yourself and your girl the chance to be a kid again and go out dancing in the rain. After that date, trust me, the fact that you have two left feet will be the last thing that she remembers.

Once you’re out there, you might as well try singing too! You may make the storm worse but then again it would be totally worth it.

If you know that a storm is coming, you can also choose to pitch up a tent and enjoy it outside. My girlfriend and I did this once and we both never forgot how serene it was to listen to the tip and tap of the rain hitting our tent as we lay together inside it. It may seem cheesy now but you’ll be thanking me once you’ve done it.

If you don’t want to be outside, then at least take her to a place where you can enjoy the view. You could both take the scenery in and create a romantic atmosphere. Or you could even go for a drive, just remember to be cautious of course, and enjoy the road trip as well as the storm. Use your imaginations. Bad weather shouldn’t be bad for the relationship too. Take it from me, the best dates that we had happened while a storm raged outside.
